Denim Care

Jeans were originally designed to withstand the rigours of mining for gold in California because the prospectors couldn't find trousers that would last more than a few weeks. However in today’s society, our jeans aren't just for digging and labouring, they are also high fashion. You want your Athlete Denim to last, so here are some tips to help keep them looking great for years.

Hand wash our 'Rinse Wash' dark denim before the first wear to prevent dyes from bleeding. Add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the luke-warm or cold water when you wash your je for the very first time; this will set the dye.

Having done that, you now want to wash your jeans as infrequently as possible. Whilst the washing machine is efficient, it will gradually deteriorate the quality of your clothes.

Try soaking your jeans in cold water and vinegar instead of washing them. Yes, vinegar. Add one cup of distilled white vinegar to a cold water bath and soak your jeans for about an hour. Hang or lay flat to dry, and don’t worry about smelling like vinegar—the odour goes away after your jeans dry. This technique locks in the dye’s colour, keeping your jeans dark and your furniture clean. And if you must use a washing machine, toss in a cup of vinegar on a hand-wash setting—but please, no detergent.

Air dry to retain shape and size. Only use the dryer for denim if your goal is shrinkage. If you choose to use the dryer, dry on low heat for 20 minutes max then air dry the rest of the way.

      Fitting Guide

Measure around your waist where your waistband sits, on the hipbones.

TIP:- if you don't have a tailors tape to hand, use a piece of string and then hold it against your tape measure to get an accurate measurement.

The jeans are designed to accommodate a large seat and thighs. Get the waist size right and the rest will follow.
